Welcome to WWW.HEATA.NET
HEATA is the only course of its type offered on the continent of Africa.
Throughout the world, journalists, aid workers, governmental advisors, and commercial actors can no longer operate without risk to life and limb.
About HEATA : ______________________________________
Who needs HEATA? In short, anyone living and working in Africa who takes his or her personal safety seriously.
The best defenses against potential threats are awareness, confidence, and mind-set, all of which come from training, practice, and reinforcement. Understanding that few individuals receive such training, Ridgeback has developed HEATA.
Unlike other pre-deployment training courses in the U.S.
and Europe, HEATA is Africa-specific. This intensive five-day course is fast-paced and dynamic. Skills-focused classroom and
hands-on instruction is punctuated by unannounced reality-based scenarios, which force students to respond under pressure, thus enhancing their skills.
Location: __________________________________________
HEATA is conducted at Kongoni Game Valley, a 1000-acre reserve located two hours from Nairobi, Kenya. High-end facilities and services provide comfort throughout the five days. In addition to a serene learning environment, Kongoni Game Valley offers a variety of terrain, reminiscent of the continent's diverse landscape, one that is ideal for learning navigation, survival, field medical, and off-road driving skills.
